Notable Players
Many are surprised to hear that the Arizona Cardinals are the oldest professional football team in the league. Their inception was in Chicago around 1898 as the Morgan Athletic Club. In 1960, the club moved to St. Louis, then to Arizona prior to the 1988 season. We’ll start by mentioning some of the recent stars and then go back in history to give credit to the Cardinals former stars.
Kurt Warner, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin are the most recent stars that brought the cardinals to the Super Bowl in 2008. We’ll start with Kurt Warner, approaching a 12 year NFL career, Kurt is a 4 time Pro Bowler. His career with the Cardinals extends back to 2005, prior to that Kurt played for the Giants for one year. Kurt Warner started his career with the St. Louis Rams in 1998 and continued with the team after their move to Arizona. A former NFL ball boy, Larry Fitzgerald has proven himself to be an NFL star receiver. He is a three time Pro Bowler and has scored over 50 touch downs in his career.
